Catalog description

Provides the student with a basic understanding of the application of public health principles to community-based health education interventions. Includes an overview of public health, factors impacting health, health education theories and ethical considerations, the community needs assessment process, the program planning process, health communication, interventions at both the individual and population level. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in IPH101, IPH105, and IPH106 or permission of Program Director.
