Enrollment Limitation: Retention based on successful audition. Rehearsal and performance in a jazz combo. Performance practice, stylistic accuracy, groupinteraction, arrangement / chart-writing, effective rehearsal techniques and sight reading are practiced in small groups and as a whole class. Required instructional trips. Maximum credit 8 units, 2 units each semester. Maximum of 4 enrollments allowed in the Major Ensemble Family: MUSC 038C, 044, 057A, 057E, 070A, 070B, 070C, 070D, 070E, 082, 133E. Total of 18 hours Lecture, 36 hours laboratory, and 18 hours TBA laboratory. This course may be scheduled using the "To Be Arranged" (TBA) scheduling format.
