An introduction to the art and discipline of modern dance technique through fundamental skills and beginning technique practices. Emphasis is on awareness of the body as an expressive instrument. Study and practice of the basic dance elements of space, time and energy are engaged through movement combinations, traveling in space, floor and center work and creative exploration.
