MATH 24HElementary Differential Equations Honors

Catalog

This course includes the study of first-order differential equations; second- and higher-order linear differential equations; equations with constant coefficients; the Laplace transform; systems of equations; series solutions; and the numerical methods of solutions with applications to physics and engineering. This is the Honors version of Math 24. It covers the above topics in a more rigorous manner and covers more realistic applications in greater detail. Research projects are used to explore connections with physics and engineering and to model and solve real world applications. MATH 24H may be taken concurrently with MATH 26 or 26H and MATH 4A or 4AH. Credit may be earned in either MATH 24 or 24H, but not both. C-ID: MATH 240
