HIST 110Finding Hist Unexpected Places

Catalog

We often think history only resides in textbooks. Actually, it is alive and all around us. In this class, we actively engage history, discovering it in spaces like archives, monuments, and museums as well as in more hidden places like cultural objects and everyday life. Finding History in Unexpected Places invites us to explore how historical narratives are embedded in the ordinary, overlooked, or unconventional corners of our lives.
