Catalog description

Topics extended to the college level include: real numbers, exponents and radicals, polynomials and factoring, fractional expressions, equations and inequalities, functions and their graphs, conic sections, and systems of equations and inequalities. New topics include: zeros of polynomial functions, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, matrices, sequences, and the Binomial Theorem. This course requires a graphing calculator. ELA Placement: No ELA Requirement Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in MAT 081 or MAT 090 (or higher) OR concurrent enrollment in MAT 021 OR appropriate placement.
