This course focuses on developing reading and writing skills required to advance toward readiness for college-level coursework and to meet the needs of most entry-level workplace settings. The course covers fundamental comprehension skills and vocabulary building, as well as sentence-level fluency in composition and instruction in grammar and mechanics within the context of written assignments ELA Placement: No ELA Requirement Prerequisite: Appropriate placement (see current placement score prerequisite chart).
