Introduction to Education

Catalog description

This course is an overview of American education as both a profession and a public enterprise. Students will examine the historical, social, and historical foundations of education in America, and apply that framework to current social, legal, and ethical issues of providing education in a diverse society. This course will expose students to the knowledge and skills necessary for educators to embody the dispositions of the profession.
