Directing Directing Workshop

Catalog description

Students, as directors, will study the processes necessary to bring a written text to life, along with the methods and goals used in working with actors to focus and strengthen their performances. Scene work and short plays will be performed in class, and student work will be analyzed and evaluated. Common directing problems will be addressed, and directors will become familiar with the conceptual process that allows them to think creatively. In spring, students will direct a short play of their choice. Director’s Conference
