Catalog description

Designed for prospective elementary teachers, this course focuses on the development of quantitative reasoning skills through in-depth, integrated expolorations of topics in mathematics such as real number systems and subsystems. The emphasis is on problem solving strategies, comprehension and analysis of mathematical concepts, applications of logical reasoning, and the principles behind the standard arithmetic algorithms introduced to young learners.
