Catalog description
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification Course prepares individuals for EMT certification by meeting National, State, and County EMS requirements. Students will be ready to take the National Registry Exam and receive training specific to Orange County EMS (OCEMS). Key topics include patient assessment, airway management, CPR, trauma care, and considerations for pediatric and geriatric patients, with an emphasis on hands-on training through practical labs and simulations. Assessment involves quizzes, exams, and practical evaluations, and upon completion, students earn a certificate and can sit for the National Registry Exam, gaining essential skills and professionalism for the EMS field.
