Catalog description

Community policing is a philosophy that promotes working in partnership with a community to prevent and/or address crime based on a collaborative approach. This course will provide students or law enforcement professional with the framework and knowledge of community policing which include best practices for incorporating public trust, preventing crime by collaborating with the public, embracing smart policing initiatives, adopting "best practices" in policing and promoting officer and community safety mindset. Field trips may be required.
