Catalog description

Designed for all fire service and allied emergency response personnel. Key topics include: Team organization; rescue and environmental considerations; use of ropes and knots; operation of simple, complex, and compound rope rescue systems; descending, rappelling, and belaying tools and techniques, low-angle and high-angle rescue, use of fire service ladders in specialized rescue situations, and day and night simulated rescue exercises. Additional materials fees may be required. May not be offered every semester.
