Catalog description
The history and philosophy of social work & human services including theoretical frameworks, the function and orientation of social service organizations, and the roles and qualifications of social work and human service workers. Through a multidisciplinary approach, an examination of the impact of cultural, societal, and ethical issues facing the social work and human services field will frame how target populations are served. Through a social justice lens, special attention is given to the evolution of current service delivery systems, their policies and procedures, and the tasks of culturally responsive social workers within those settings.
