Catalog description

This course is designed to provide students with the foundational skills needed to succeed in the automotive service industry. Emphasis will be placed on mastering the three C's methods (Concern, Cause, and Correction) for diagnosing and documenting repairs, as well as developing proficiency in basic English technical writing and communication. Students will also gain the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with service writers, customers, and other team members. Additionally, students will become familiar with industry tools and technology, including computers and diagnostic software, and will be expected to meet dealerships, independent shops, and BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair) compliance standards. This course will require field trips.
