Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to the translation and interpreting profession focusing on the historical origins, theories, techniques, methods, and challenges associated with the fields of translation and interpreting. Students will focus on comprehension of source language texts and accurate expression of content and style in translations. Theoretical readings will be used to familiarize students with strategies, techniques, and challenges faced in the translation and interpreting process.
