Catalog description

Students are introduced to the origins, purpose, subject matter, and methods of Women's Studies and to feminist perspectives on a range of social issues affecting women of diverse backgrounds. This is an interdisciplinary course that incorporates American and global perspectives from various disciplines pertaining to women. Study of gender and its intersections with race, class, sexuality, disability, age, religion, fine arts, and other systems of difference.
