Catalog description

Students survey the history and culture of American Indians in America from Pre-Columbian to present times. Students will study similarities and differences among Indian nations and the interaction of American Indians with European settlers. Students will also examine the disempowerment and dispossession of their lands and cultures. The impact of post-American Revolution policies, acts, laws, and doctrines directed at American Indians will also be covered.
