Catalog description

Students will survey the history and culture of Asian Americans. Students will critically explore the political, legal, economic, social and cultural aspects of the history of Asian Americans, their diversity, experiences, oppression and resistance and their contributions through an interdisciplinary approach. Students will examine issues of race, class, gender, and sexuality, immigration, citizenship, labor, racialization, exclusion, social and political activism and community-building.
