Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the historical development, theory and techniques of archaeological research and fieldwork. A comparative approach to study the development of ancient cultures will be utilized. The course will also focus on cultural resource management, survey and selection of field sites, dating, excavation, artifact classification, interpretation of data and written analysis. Some field work will be required.
