Catalog description

Students will be introduced to machining, focusing on the safe and correct use of various equipment, including mills, lathes, band saws, grinders, and drill presses. Students will learn to interpret engineering drawings and solid models, gaining an understanding of the importance of accurate measurement in both inch and metric systems. The course will also cover the identification of different metals and their key properties. A review of geometric principles will also be included to reinforce foundational knowledge.
