Introduction to Photojournalism

Catalog description

Students will learn the fundamentals of storytelling through photography in this course. It will explore the role of photojournalists in the media, using the camera as a tool for reporting and communication. Assignments will include producing photographs for news, sports, features, and photographic essays. The course will cover photo composition, impact, and creativity relevant to newspapers, magazines, the internet, and other mass communication media. (C-ID JOUR 160)
