Catalog description

Students will examine the research between learning and development through an interdisciplinary approach that includes educational psychology, sociology, research in higher education on identity formation, and counseling. Students will review theories, concepts, and research methods that explore the connection between cognition, memory, and self-regulation as it relates to learning. Students will gain a deeper understanding of neurodiversity, the social aspects of learning, and how a person's environment and culture shape learning and identity formation.
