Catalog description

Students will be introduced to feminist perspectives and the historical and contemporary experiences of women of color in the United States. Students will analyze gender, race, and their intersections with class, sexuality, dis/ability, culture, age, and other systems of difference as they pertain to women of color. Other areas of emphasis will include selected feminist political, cultural, and social contributions made by and for women of color. (C-ID SJS 120)
