Introduction to Surgical Technology

Catalog description

This course covers the development of medicine, surgery, and the field of surgical technology. Related professional practice issues are discussed. Patient care concepts, pharmacology, anesthesia, information technology, electricity, robotics, all- hazards preparation, and micro biology will also be studied. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR) is included. A grade of C or higher is required to pass this course.
