Catalog description

In this course students will explore the medical care of horses, cattle, sheep, goats, swine, and camelids. General husbandry, restraint and handling, collection of diagnostic samples, administration of treatments, common diseases, preventive medicine, plu s anesthesia and surgery will be covered for each species. The course also requires that students participate in a number of field trips to gain hands- on practice. A grade of C or higher is required to pass this course.
