Water Treatment II

Catalog description
This advanced course prepares students for journeyman-level operations in water treatment, highlighting the significance of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism in environmental stewardship. Students will cover the Expected Range of Knowledge (ERK) needed to pass the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) examinations for Water Treatment Operator III (T3) and Water Treatment Operator IV (T4) levels. The course promotes an inclusive learning environment, encouraging discussions on the social and environmental justice aspects of water treatment and the importance of equitable access to clean water. Upon completion, students will fulfill the requirements for specialized training in water supply principles and gain the skills to advocate for sustainable water management, preparing them to apply for the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Water Treatment Operator III (T3) and Water Distribution Operator III (D3) examinations, and positively impact their communities.
