This vocational math course is designed for students in wastewater treatment programs, focusing on the technical and applied math skills essential for success as operators. Students will engage with mathematical concepts that address challenges in primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment, including calculations for flow rates, chemical dosages, and system efficiencies. Through practical applications and problem-solving exercises, students will develop proficiency in the techniques necessary for effective management in the wastewater industry. The course also emphasizes the environmental and social implications of wastewater practices, fostering a collaborative learning environment that values diverse perspectives.
