Catalog description

Students examine the process high school theatre educators in Texas undergo when they mount their One Act Play for the University Interscholastic League. Students study and practice cutting scripts, creating and executing a directorial concept, practice practical skills necessary to mount a successful One Act Play, and develop a philosophy for running a high school theatre program. Students also engage and collaborate directly with Contest Managers and Participants in on-site visits to One Act Play Contests. Prerequisite: Junior Standing, THEA 4366 (must have completed or be concurrently enrolled in) or instructor approval.
