Catalog description

Students explore current practices in the development and adaptation of instructional materials for English learners. Students examine contemporary approaches to designing effective materials tailored to diverse linguistic and educational needs. Emphasis may be placed on evaluating material design in relation to specific language skills, learning contexts, and linguistic features. Students will gain hands-on experience developing and adapting materials using various technologies to support English learners in achieving targeted language and content goals. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to create purposeful, engaging, and contextually appropriate resources that enhance English language learning.
