Catalog description

Students will examine the rationale for instruction of students with mild to moderate disabilities. Students will explore and apply research-based assessment and instructional strategies, with course learning experiences focused on identifying and implementing effective practices for students with mild to moderate special needs. Students will analyze and utilize best instructional practices in reading, writing, communication, mathematics, and content-area learning, while integrating course discussions with textbook readings and other academic materials.
