Students outline the history of the Spanish language over the last two millennia, focusing on the formal development of its phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics. Instruction is in Spanish. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in SPAN 1411 , SPAN 1412 , SPAN 2311 , SPAN 2312 and SPAN 3367 or equivalent.
