Catalog description

Students develop an understanding of an advanced study of growth and development processes throughout the lifespan. Theories and applications of basic research are examined in detail, and students are expected to delve into one of the major topics (e.g., multicultural aspects of development, cognitive development, social-emotional factors that impact development, parent-child attachment, physical development, etc.) in depth through critical reading of original research.
