Constitutional Law II: Gov Powers & State-Federal Relations.

Catalog description

Students study the constitutional structure of government in the United States through the U.S. Supreme Court’s interpretation of federal and state powers. Topics may include separation of powers, federalism, the commerce and taxing powers, executive authority, and the limits of governmental action. Students analyze landmark decisions and judicial reasoning to understand how the Court defines and allocates governmental power. Prerequisite: 6 hours of POLS.
