Catalog description

Students examine the political ideas, philosophers, and relevant historical events in Western Europe over the past two thousand years. Students study the representative political writings from the time of Plato to Nietzsche, addressing political values and ideas in their original historical context as well as independently of any particular historical or cultural limitations. Prerequisite: 6 hours of POLS.
