Catalog description

Students are introduced to the topics of classical mechanics, including linear motion, forces, rotation, and conservation laws. Considerable attention is given to the solution of problems with the emphasis placed on fundamental concepts. Students must register concurrently for the integrated weekly laboratory problem-solving session. Calculus I ( MATH 1420 ) may be taken concurrently by students who have completed Physics Bootcamp ( PHYS 1401 ). Prerequisite: MATH 1420 .
