Catalog description

Students explore the foundational principles of pharmacology, including pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, mechanisms of drug action, potential toxicities, and interactions. Emphasis is placed on understanding how pharmacological agents are used in medical therapeutics, with attention to the physiological basis and clinical features of disease states, as well as the influence of drug therapy. Prerequisite: PHAS 5313 and PHAS 5322 .
