Students explore the foundational principles of pharmacology, including pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, mechanisms of drug action, and potential toxicities and interactions. Emphasis is placed on understanding how pharmacologic agents are used in medical therapeutics, with attention to the physiological bases and clinical features of disease states that influence drug therapy. Prerequisite: PHAS 5102 .
