Students develop a foundational understanding of the Physician Assistant (PA) profession, examining its historical development, current trends, and essential aspects of professional practice. Students also explore current policies and regulations that impact PA practice, as well as the state and national organizations that advocate for the profession’s growth and development. Additionally, emphasis will be placed on personal wellness and professionalism as vital components of a successful and sustainable career in healthcare. Prerequisite: Admission into the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program.
