Catalog description

Students are introduced to the foundation of pathophysiology and fundamental principles of pharmacological alterations in major regulatory mechanisms of the body. Special consideration is given to the nursing role in developing a comprehensive approach to the clinical application of pharmacologic concepts and principles to professional nursing practice. Students are provided a foundation for understanding general nursing practice, various diagnostic procedures, and basic drug classifications. Prerequisite: Admission to the Nursing Program.
