Students learn how to efficiently search online academic, popular, and professional resources, how to evaluate their credibility, and how to understand the basics of information ethics. The internet is both overwhelming with its sheer amount of information and muddled with a new surplus of misinformation and confused facts. The information literacy skills learned in this course will help them both with their future research in academia and in their day-to-day life as they navigate the information landscape.
