Students engage in a focused study of some of the forms and highly contrapuntal works of J.S. Bach with an emphasis on creative projects. The understanding of the contrapuntal devices examined in this course enhance the student's understanding of polyphony in Western music from all periods. Prerequisite: MUSI 2223 with a C or better.
