Catalog description

This course examines the history of the development of modern mathematics, from the discovery of calculus, through the industrial revolution, into the modern age of computers and digital technology. Emphasis will be placed on the applications of calculus and the abstraction of geometry, analysis, and algebra which followed. Prerequisite: Math 4367 or departmental approval.
