This course is in the first half of the algebra sequence. The algebra sequence will include Group and Ring theory. Special topics include groups, group actions, the Sylow Theorems, rings, modules, fields, field extensions, and an introduction to Galois Theory. Prerequisite: MATH 4377 or equivalent.
