Catalog description

Students explore the theory of integers in depth. Topics may include: the division algorithm and Euclidean Algorithm; primes and the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic; modular arithmetic; Euler's phi function; the ring of units of an integer; quadratic reciprocity; and arithmetic functions. Prerequisite: C or Better in Math 3300.
