Catalog description

Students explore properties of geometric spaces that are preserved under deformation-stretching or twisting, but not breaking. Topics may include topological spaces, connectedness, compactness, manifolds, cell complexes, knot theory, knot invariants, Euler characteristic, fundamental group, classification of surfaces, and covering spaces. Prerequisite: C or better in Math 3300.
