Students pursue focused scholarly inquiry in a specialized area aligned with their dissertation research or professional academic interests. Under the close guidance of a faculty mentor, students engage in rigorous, self-directed investigation of theoretical, methodological, or applied questions that extend beyond standard curriculum offerings.
