Topics may include the legacies of the French Revolution and Napoleonic era, the impact of the Congress of Vienna, early political ideologies, Romanticism, the First Industrial Revolution, the Revolutions of 1830 and 1848, urbanization, nationalism, mass politics, Realism, New Imperialism, and the origins of World War I.
