Catalog description

Students are introduced to foundational concepts in the domain of health care quality and safety. The fundamental topics discussed in the course may include the elements of patient safety and satisfaction, measures for improving organizational and patient quality, accountability standards, and the system approach for continuous improvement. The course is intended to be taken during the graduate student's first year in the program. Prerequisite: Graduate standing.
