Students examine major historical developments in Europe prior to the sixteenth century. Topics may include Early Medieval Europe 300-1000; the Roman Empire; and Europe in the Era of Crusades, 1000-1500. Readings include important primary sources as well as secondary works. Prerequisite: Graduate standing.
